What are the attributes of PIR insulation?

  • A high R-value per inch of thickness when compared to other insulation products.

  • A moisture-resistant foam core.

  • Densities: 40 kg/m3 OR 38 kg/m3

  • Compatibility with most solvents used in construction adhesives.

  • Excellent dimensional stability 

  • Excellent performance in fire tests - Fire reaction classification: (B s1, d0)

  • A wide range of service temperatures

  • Excellent R-value, this allows PIR products to deliver more energy savings potential for buildings than other materials of the same thickness.

  • Coefficient of thermal conductivity of foam polyurethane λ = 0,020 ± 0,003 W/mk.

  • Thermal dimensional stability @ 80°C (176ºF) and @ -20°C (-4ºF) < to the 2% in volume.

  • A CFC- and HCFC-free product with zero ozone depletion potential 

  • Recycled content in most products (see manufacturer for details).

  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) -  high chemical corrosion resistance, and heat resistance

  • Granite® HDX (greater durability against corrosion, used at food industry)
